A bit about Linda...
Comfort for Critters was started by Linda Kastiel Kozlowski, after she adopted a kitten named "Anna," and wanted to do something for all the pets which she couldn't take home that day. Instead of bringing in old towels, as was suggested, she asked if she could crochet blankets for the cats and dogs, never envisioning she was starting on a road which would bring thousands of blankets into shelters across the US.
She manages CFC, which donates blankets to shelters, and also pursues her passion for writing by exploring the wonderous relationship between people and pets in articles and books. Her first two books cover the foundation of Comfort for Critters ("Crochet for Critters") and delve into the effects crochet has on the person holding the hook ("Crochet for Your Comfort"). Both also include 30 unique patterns to help readers crochet amazing pet blankets for shelter animals or their own pets.
Linda loves all God's creatures, from Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches to newborn kittens. She's had most of them as pets, as well! She takes on the important task of demonstrating that love by crocheting pet blankets, writing about the unique ways pets enhance our lives and caring for her own furry kids at home.
